Plaid Cymru launched their Pontypridd: Cynon: Merthyr campaign for the 2026 Senedd Election at YMa in Pontypridd on the 6th November.
The launch was addressed by Lindsay Whittle MS - fresh from his victory in the Caerffili byelection. Lindsay said what he had done in Caerffili can be replicated accross the Valleys.
Heledd Fychan spoke about the need for change and fresh leadership in the Senedd giving examples of the lack of progress in the NHS and economy but highlighting the impact of child poverty on future generations.
Lis McLean, 2nd on the Plaid list, talked about the way so many communities had been left behind, and that feeling was especially strong in Merthyr Tydfil.
