Update from Danny Grehan, Plaid Cymru's Tonyrefail East Councillor on difficulties contacting Park Lane Surgery

The biggest complaint on the doorstep during the local election was the fact that it is such an ordeal to get through to the surgery. 

I am glad to say that their present phone contract comes to an end soon, and they will be installing a new system, which will make it easier to get through to the surgery.

Groesfaen Community Councillor, Carole Willis, is conducting a survey to see what demand there is for improving the amount of community activities are offered in the village.

A meeting was held in the Otley Arms, Trefforest on Wednesday, 27 September 2017) to discuss how improvements can be made in the way we do our democracy.

SPEEDING STUDY SPIKED

A bid for funding to review road safety along the main road at Llantwit Fardre has been ruled out.

Road safety campaigner Steven Owen said: “It is disappointing that the bid to the Labour Government in Wales by the council for Road Safety Grant cash was not successful.

On Thursday 9th September the proposed Taff Vale Development went before RCT's Planning Committee.

It got planning permission and although Plaid Cymru support the investment in Pontypridd, Heledd Fychan the Plaid Cymru Councillor for the Town spoke at the meeting to express some of the concerns of residents, so they are on record:

“More than 8 million tonnes of plastic reaches the oceans each year, affecting at least 136 species of marine life, such as sea birds.

Plaid Cymru Councillor for Pontypridd Town, Heledd Fychan, sought assurances at the recent meeting of RCT County Borough Council regarding the number of new jobs being created through various developments in Pontypridd.
